The Eternity Memorial Complex was build in 1975 by the Soviet Union to commemorate the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) and their victory over the Nazis. The five pillars are shaped as rifle and represent a different year of the war protect the eternal flame burning under them. All the Soviet Stars and other USSR symbols have been strip down from the complex during the early 90's
